Donna J. and W. Larry Collins/GFWC Scholarship Fund
The Donna J. and W. Larry Collins/GFWC Scholarship goes to students entering their junior or senior year of college or a graduate program in art, art education, design, fibers, sculpture or public administration.
Donna Collins loved to teach and encouraged students to express themselves creatively. She also felt a calling to community service and her involvement in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs was a source of great pride to her. Larry Collins feels that public administration training in government or non-profit organizations is a rewarding way to be of service to humankind.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant shall be going into their junior or senior year of college, or accepted into a graduate program.
- Demonstrate academic ability with a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
- Applicant shall be a declared major including, but not necessarily limited to: Art, Art Education, Design, Fibers, Sculpture; or Public Administration with an intention to serve in local government.
- Parents or guardian shall reside in Isabella County.
2012 Scholarship Award: $750
