Mercantile Bank of Michigan Scholarship Fund

The Mercantile Bank of Michigan Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to graduating seniors from the Shepherd, Mt. Pleasant, and Clare communities who have exhibited outstanding service to their communities and are pursuing higher education or training.

The Mercantile Bank of Michigan Scholarship Fund was created to recognize area youth for their commitment to volunteerism and community involvement. Mercantile Bank of Michigan wanted to motivate and reward high school seniors who had excelled in serving their communities by awarding scholarships that would aid in the continuation of their education.

Mortgage Team 2018

Four scholarships are awarded annually by Mercantile Bank of Michigan as follows: 1 - Clare High School, 2 - Mt. Pleasant High School and Sacred Heart Academy, 1 - Shepherd High School 

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a graduating senior from Clare, Mt. Pleasant, Sacred Heart, or Shepherd High School.

  • Be accepted to and will attend a university, college or school of higher education, including industrial, technical or vocational school.

  • Exhibit outstanding community service.

  • Have maintained a 2.0 minimum grade point.
