The Nancy Carey Memorial Scholarship recognizes and rewards a graduating senior of Mt. Pleasant High School who reaches high levels of achievement in the fields of Speech and English.

This fund was established in memory of Nancy Carey for her tireless efforts as a teacher of Speech & English and for her involvement in Forensic & Debate activities at Mt. Pleasant High School. Nancy established high standards of performance in her classes & in the co-curricular activities of Debate & Forensics.

Scholarship Value: $500

Eligibility Criteria: 

• Be a graduating senior from Mt. Pleasant High School.

• Have an interest in pursuing educational growth.

• Have maintained a 2.5 minimum grade point average.

• Have taken, or be taking, a class in the English Department of Mt. Pleasant High School your senior year.
