Dr. Joyce Ann Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund

Dr. Joyce Ann Carey

The Dr. Joyce Ann Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund awards a scholarship to a non-traditional undergraduate student (25-45 years of age) who has successfully completed about two years of college–level academic work.

Dr. Carter died of cancer in 2004. During her 20 years as Director of Academic Assistance at CMU, her chief concern was always for those students who had personal problems that hampered their chances of success. She was especially enthusiastic about helping non-traditional students returning to school.
