Scholarships for Advanced Training/Education
If you are currently enrolled in a college or university or planning to return, you may be eligible for one or more of the following scholarships.

Harry E. Tope Memorial Aviation Scholarship
The Harry E. Tope Memorial Aviation Scholarship Fund awards a scholarship to a selected person to advance his or her education or skills in the field of aviation.
Morey Technical Training Scholarships
The Morey Technical Training Scholarships were established to assist students who are graduating from or have previously graduated from the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center and are pursuing a career in the field of welding, machine tool or mechanical drafting. Scholarships are intended for students who will be, or are currently attending Ferris State University or Mid Michigan Community College.
Donna J. & W. Larry Collins/GFWC Scholarship
The Donna J. and W. Larry Collins/GFWC Scholarship goes to students entering their junior or senior year of college or a graduate program in art, art education, design, fibers, sculpture or public administration.
Dr. Joyce Ann Carter Memorial Scholarship
The Dr. Joyce Ann Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund awards a scholarship to a non-traditional undergraduate student (25-45 years of age) who has successfully completed about two years of college–level academic work. Applicants should be intending to apply their university education, at least in part, to accomplishing some specific socially useful end.
George & Frances P. Rouman Mental Health Education Scholarship
The scholarship will benefit students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work Program at Central Michigan University or those accepted in a Master of Social Work program at a public university in the State of Michigan, and pursuing a career in the mental health field.
Kenneth & Hilda Schmeck Memorial Nursing Scholarship
The scholarship is intendedto recognize and reward a Mid-Michigan College student who has achieved admission to the Nursing Program. The scholarship is targeted for students from Clare, Gladwin, Isabella or Midland counties.
John P. & Ann S. Jensen Scholarship
The John P. & Ann S. Jensen Scholarship Fund awards a scholarship to a student who is going into the junior or senior year of college, or has been accepted to a graduate program. The scholarship recipient must have declared a major of Architecture, Interior Design, Music, Art or Literature.
Kristopher Walden "Waldo" Arts Scholarship
The scholarship will benefit students who graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and are pursuing a career in an art related field. Applicants must be at a junior level or above and be taking classes leading to a career in arts.
Following are examples of Art related fields that would be eligible for consideration:
Fine Arts, Art Education, Architecture, Art Therapy, Art History, Graphic Design, Gallery Direction, Illustration, Museum Curator, Animation, Art Conservation, Interior Design, Product Design, Fashion Design or Industrial Design

The following categories of individuals and their immediate families are NOT eligible for Foundation scholarships:
- Trustees of the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation
- Scholarship Committee Members
- Foundation Staff
