Mt. Pleasant Jaycees Start Endowment Fund

Proceeds from the first Mt. Pleasant Craft Beer Festival have made it possible for the Mt. Pleasant Jaycees to start an endowment through the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation. The announcement was made at the Foundation’s “For Good Forever” Breakfast, which celebrates local philanthropy and community impact throughout Isabella County. The endowed fund will allow the group of young professionals to make an impact on the community long-term.

Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center Students Explore Future Careers

Foundations of Success

Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center (MPATC) students were given a head start on career exploration this spring through "Foundations of Success," an effort to expose students to learning opportunities beyond high school. One of the program goals was to encourage students to consider future enrollment in college or trade programs for degrees or certificates that would qualify them for better paying and more satisfying jobs. More than 600 MPATC students participated in 23 unique visits to local businesses and several college programs that will prepare them for careers in a wide variety of fields.
