Janice Cotter Endowment Fund

Robert and Janice Cotter

Janice was born on November 9, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant and grew up in the community with her 8 siblings.  A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Janice enjoyed nothing more than being around her large family and always found joy taking care of her younger siblings. Married on April 20, 1974 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Rosebush, Janice and her husband Robert raised two children, Kevin and Kelly. She worked as an office manager for Bear Packaging for many years and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Janice was known for her giving heart, and received great joy serving others. With an incredible passion for children, Janice loved spending time with her three grandsons, Andrew, Grant and Joseph, and saw the value in making an impact on young lives.

Janice was known to put others first, and was a caregiver for all who needed her assistance. Through the Janice Cotter Endowment Fund, established in 2016 by Robert in loving memory of his wife, the family continues her legacy. The donor advised fund supports efforts of organizations in Isabella County, especially those that support youth, and stands as a reminder of Janice’s love for life, service and children.
