Keith E. and Patricia L. Feight Fund

In 2023, the Keith E. and Patricia L Feight Fund was established by the Feights in honor of the Mt. Pleasant community that has supported their businesses for many years. The Feights’ fund supports three local organizations: the Chippewa River District Library, Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum, and the Foundation's Women’s Initiative.

Keith, whose parents are from Belleville, MI, graduated from Central Michigan University after serving in the Navy on the battleship Wisconsin and the cruiser, the Northhampton. In the late 1950s, Keith began his Mt. Pleasant business career, delving into insurance, real estate and retail, all while starting his own family. While his son, Kurt, and his family remain in the local community, his daughter Sherrie raised her family in Kalamazoo.

Patricia's maternal family lived and owned businesses in Mt. Pleasant. She and her siblings cherished summer vacations spent visiting their grandparents, John and Doris Brien, and their cousins' families. Eventually, Pat raised her own family in Mt. Pleasant. Her daughter Carrie (Paden) started her own family in Libertyville, IL, and now resides in Loudon, TN. Her other daughter, Michele (Gustavsson), began her family in Sweden and now lives in North Carolina.

As the Feight Fund continues to grow, Keith and Patricia hope it will sustain and enhance vital community resources for generations to come.
