Missy and Doug LaBelle Family Foundation Community Impact Fund

Responding to the Community Foundation’s 25th anniversary community impact appeal, the Doug and Melissa LaBelle Family Foundation established a community impact fund to support the efforts of charitable organizations throughout Isabella County for years to come. “The Community Foundation does a great job and needs resources to make grants without restrictions,” said Doug.

Born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Doug spent much of his life developing businesses through LaBelle Management, a family enterprise started in 1948 by his father. The company grew from restaurants to hotels and real estate, engaging multiple generations in the family business. Missy came to Mt. Pleasant to attend Central Michigan University, and ultimately graduated with a Master’s degree. They were married in 1994. They now enjoy spending time with children Doug, Brandon, Brooke and Davis—splitting their time between Michigan and Arizona.
