Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation

For good. For ever.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

The William and Janet Strickler Nonprofit Center Fund was established by Bill Strickler, Jr. in memory of his father William “Bill” Strickler.

This Fund supports the William and Janet Strickler Nonprofit Center which provides a permanent, shared facility for key organizations to coordinate services to reduce poverty levels in Isabella County over time. The organizations operate from under one roof to provide support with basic needs such as food assistance, household and hygiene products, clothing, and employment assistance.

The Center has been occupied since September 2017. The Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation facilitated the purchase the 17,760 square-foot building at 1114 West High Street in Mt. Pleasant through a $1.1 million-dollar capital campaign that was completed in 2019.

Every individual lifted out of poverty, or prevented from falling into poverty, improves our community culturally, financially, and socially.
