John B. and Nancy L. Theisen Memorial Scholarship Fund

In June of 2021, the John B. and Nancy L. Theisen Memorial Scholarship Fund was endowed and established with the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation. Nancy was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and John a 1956 graduate from Sacred Heart Academy. They were married at Sacred Heart on August 26, 1961. As fixtures in the Isabella County community, John owned and operated Jack’s Amoco Station in Weidman for 33 years. Nancy was a dental assistant to Dr. William Fortino, DDS for 20 years. This fund will award scholarships to an MPHS and SHA seniors who are pursuing a college degree based upon their community involvement.
